Dr. Christopher Cannova completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Georgetown University, followed by a fellowship in Joint Reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Cornell University Medical Center in New York. His advanced training focused on complex total joint replacement and revision joint surgery.
Dr. Cannova is a nationally recognized expert in joint reconstruction and total joint replacement, with specialty training in the latest techniques for minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. His expertise includes total joint replacement, partial joint replacement, and revision joint replacement surgery.
A primary developer of the ROSA robotic knee replacement system, Dr. Cannova is a leader in the integration of advanced technology into joint replacement surgery. He serves as a consultant to numerous orthopedic implant companies and is a frequent lecturer on emerging surgical techniques. He is also committed to advancing outpatient joint replacement, performing most procedures in an ambulatory setting when appropriate to enhance recovery and patient outcomes.
